Founded in 2017, Scalene Partners offers true long-term advisory services for its entrepreneur and institution clients.

Scalene Partners provides customised support to ensure its clients are put in contact with the best partners for every stage of their development, whether that be private equity houses, credit institutions, investment holdings or major groups.

Samuel Assaraf and Simon Eischen class themselves as ‘investment bank entrepreneurs’. Together they developed a high-impact, agile approach that combines M&A advice, strategic analysis and financial advice, relying on their strong technical knowledge and their ability to rethink existing models.

Simon Eischen

Simon Eischen

Simon Eischen is a partner and cofounder of Scalene Partners. Simon is an investment banker from the Mergers & Acquisitions team at Rothschild & Co. Simon mainly worked on large cross-border transactions for blue-chips companies in the oil and gas, healthcare and technology sectors.

He previously worked in Consultancy and strategy at Roland Berger and in mid-cap M&A for the DC Advisory investment bank.

Simon has a master’s degree in finance from Audencia Business School.

Samuel Assaraf

Samuel Assaraf

Samuel Assaraf is a partner and cofounder of Scalene Partners. Samuel is an investment banker from the Mergers & Acquisitions team at Rothschild & Co. Samuel mainly worked on operations involving private equity houses (LBO, OBO, growth equity, etc.).

He previously worked in private equity with Qualium Investissement and in mid-cap M&A for the DC Advisory investment bank.

Samuel has a master’s degree in finance from Essec Business School and Concordia University.

The core of our expertise, we manage industry mergers, disposals and acquisitions. Our methods and our past experiences mean that we can intervene in all sectors, on operations of every size, and throughout the world. We act as advisors for operations including full or partial disposals, as part of industrial divestment.

For acquisitions, we support our clients with their international development and strategic investments, helping to create denser territorial coverage, acquire skills or increase market shares. Scalene Partners also assists with fundraising operations for profitable companies.

Private equity

Our team can assist with all operations involving private equity houses: leveraged buyouts, acquisitions alongside internal or external managers, leveraged takeovers by managers, etc. We advise both private equity houses on their operations, and also entrepreneurs in the structuring and execution of transactions involving privates equity houses both on minority and majority matters in France and abroad.

We employ a cautious approach that meets the standards. We also pay particular attention to preparing transactions ahead of the process, to ensure optimal conditions for success.

Strategic advisory

Scalene Partners’ approach is unique, calling on the traditional know-how of a first-rate investment bank (rigorous and efficient processes, perfect knowledge of financial techniques and quick execution) and adding in strategic and personalised expertise.

We also offer advice on subjects other than transactions. Our team has worked on issues involving competitive or market analysis, shareholder mediation and structuring investment funds, to name but a few.


We help our clients with their financing issues, particularly in terms of financing acquisitions or development. Our expertise includes analysing and presenting needs, implementing a process with the counterparties and completing the process up to the transfer of funds.

Depending on the cases, our intermediaries include major banking groups and private debt funds. With financing projects, we concentrate our efforts on the key aspects of selecting counterparties, determining the implementation schedule and well positioning the envisaged transaction.
